It's a small world!
I think I've got the layout of the blog pretty much how it's going to stay. Not because it's perfect, but because it's functional and I'm too busy with other stuff to spend a lot of time making it look really nice. Hopefully, there will be enough interesting content that the layout won't matter anyways!
So, I got an out-of-the-blue email from a friend of mine that I met on the Appalachian Trail a couple years ago:
Hey Skittles,
The Colorado trail will be amazing! Wildflower from Seattle just came thru colorado and we went and camped near the colorado trail in the lost creek wilderness. Are you going to be in Antarctica this Fall? Because i will be too. I am working in the kitchen at mcmurdo station from October to February? What will you be doing down there? Write back and let me know. That would be so awesome if we were down there at the same time.
take care and happy planning,
Wow! Isn't it crazy that out of the thousands of people who apply to these jobs, that something like 700 new people get picked out of the whole country, and I know one of the other people who will be taking a job down there! I'll fill you in on the background of this whole thing with a nice, long prequil post sometime soon, but right now it's time to bike over to the computer store so I can get an adapter and post some pictures!
